A Crymson Life

Silver Stars

OK, here we go…first of the two bouquets I took pics of yesterday. I’m not real thrilled with the pics, the background turned blue on me. But the colors of the lily and star flowers real. I have to take my photos outside, and it was darn cold out yesterday and today is colder. The Silver Star lily was made sometime in November. I like the progression of colors. The tips are zinc seed beads which is actually a blueish silvery color. Then of course the colors transition to a violet in the center. This lily is larger than my normal and with all the shading I thought it could stand in a bouquet on its own. The star flowers are glass silver hex beads, and have hematite as their centers.

Yesterday I made some decisions, and now I’m forming a game plan. I’m hoping to have a busy year beadwise and travelwise. So far things are going well. Today I’m making lists and attempting to prioritize, and tonight I continue beading. Unfortunately, metal work is being put a little lower on the list than I want. I definitely have ideas, I have an entire page of doodles of just things to try with my PMC. And an entire brainstorm brewing with ideas for enamels. My list has in mind the goals I set, and so hopefully I’ll work through the list and fit in the metal.

Awesome! I like it a lot! The blue background is nice, I wonder if you bumped up the contrast if it would pop away from the bg more.

who knows! I can’t wait to see more

Wow! It’s great! I love it! Very icey and thus a little bit melancholic. The green seems to be quite “warm” with respect to the flowers! And LB is right: Absolutely elegant!
