10 weeks
This week we are 30 weeks pregnant. The countdown has begun, something about the approaching single digit number of weeks left seems so definite, so here, so official, and so exciting. I haven’t blog much about our experience, which has made it hard to come up w/ things to blog about. I’m caving in a little.
We were so excited for the 10 weeks into the pregnancy mark to hit. That was our time frame of when we’d start telling people the news. The 10 week mark made us feel secure about the entire reality of the pregnancy. It was by this time I was actually starting to get more comfortable with saying “I’m pregnant.” To have the same amount of time left is surreal. The first ten weeks went by in a rapid slow motion. Slow b/c we were dying to tell people, fast b/c time tends to fly. I expect these last ten weeks to be similar. Slow b/c we’re anxious to meet him, fast b/c we’re scrambling to get everything done. Seems that lately my brain has worked better in bullet point fashion versus prose. So here’s whats going thru my head about the next few weeks of the 10 left.
*daycare/work schedule planned out as much as I can do before babe…check
*start shopping for a new car…needs to be fuel efficient and fit a car seat.
*want to steam wash carpets in the house
*maybe paint master bedroom, I have a color picked out I like
*call for quotes on fixing the front step to the house, it’s getting dangerous
*taxes are done YEAY!
*finish baby blanket, all pieces are sewn together into two halves. I need to attach the two sew in remaining strings and crochet a border. Rock blanket on hold until after baby. Once baby blanket’s done then have fun w/ owls and other sewing projects again.
*get back to reading baby books for mental prep
*do some early shopping for bdays, showers, and other events so don’t have to worry about it later
*enjoy the spring weather and go for more walks
