This is the second to last week of October and we’ve been in full movie mode. It’s hard to believe time flies as fast as it does. Next thing you know we’ll be heading home for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Angel Heart: This was a good one. It was the first time either of us had seen this, a late 80ies thriller with Robert De Niro. For some reason we didn’t pick up on all the hints so the ending was a bit of a surprise…although looking back the hints are pretty in your face. This was Chris’s fave so far…he gives it 4 out of 4 chickens.
Nightmare Man: Sometimes Chris likes to dig for some movies and find the more obscure films. This one is part of the After Dark Horrorfest films that were filmed recently but on low budget…at least I hope that is their excuse! This film is perfect for drinking booze and cracking jokes through the entire movie. It was made to become a mystery science theater episode! 2 out of 4 African Fertility Masks
Ghost Ship: Is a great average scary movie. It has one crazy mass killing scene, but other than that it’s your basic running from evil movie. No real big names unless you’re an ER fan…if so then Julianna Margulies is the star. 2 out of 4 hooks to the face
Lost Boys: This was a fave when we were kids. What’s scarier than Corey Feldman and Corey Haim taking on vampires in Santa Carla?…especially if Keifer Sutherland is one of those vamps! This was one of those films thats remembered better than it really is. Although I did enjoy the blast from the past clothing styles. 2.5 out of 4 death by stereos
Pan’s Labyrinth or El Laberinto del fauno: It’s hard to believe this was from the guy that gave us Hell Boy. This is really a must see movie. It has one of the creepiest characters I’ve seen in a movie in a long long time, the Pale man. It’s a great fairy tale story complete themes of innocence vs evil, human nature, and a child’s belief in fantasy. 4 out of 4 monstrous toads
MST Samson vs the Vampire Women: Last night we watched another mystery science theater. Samson is one goofy movie and hilarious when you listen to Mike, Tom, and Crow. For MST standards we give it 3 out of 4 bouncing rubber bats

Mmmh, Kiefer Sutherland. I recorded “The Lost Boys” on video years ago but have never watched it. *blush* And I have watched a lot of movies with my crush Kiefer.
Oh my, I know such a small amount of movies. :(((
