A Crymson Life

Pale Moon

I finished this bouquet just in time! Pale Moon was inspired by the Halloween season as well as my having recently read the Twilight series. Yes, I know…it was a guilty pleasure, sorta similar to admitting that I’ve watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer reruns. After I finished the books I came up with the coloring idea for the lily. The red I used is a satin finish that doesn’t photograph well but really glows in person.
The black flowers surrounding the lily are a new pattern that I’ve been thinking about for a while now. The bottom petals are accented in size 12 three cut seed beads that provide subtle sparkle while the gun metal three cut beads on top glow.
This was one of those projects that started to evolve on me. New ideas came popping up that wanted to be incorporated, although it didn’t all mesh together well. Which means a side project of this has formed and is still evolving and working in my head. We’ll see how long it takes for it to completely form.

Last night we decorated the yard with a few spooky skeletons and pumpkins.  Tomorrow is trick or treating, we’ll hang out with a friend,  have dinner, hand out candy, maybe go out for drinks…maybe not b/c I got some fun Halloween themed wine, and Chris got a gorrilla mask.  All the ingredients for a fun Halloween!

Great! First the red/white flower pops into the eye. It’s wonderfully shaded. However, then the black beauties strike the eye. So interesting. The dark blue beads (these are the gun metal ones, right?) stand out only a little bit from the black beads and it looks neat. Really a mysterious bouquet with moments of surprise! smile
