A Crymson Life

December 08 Bead Trends

I’d forgotten the excitement of seeing my name in print. This week the new issue of Bead Trends bookzine hit shelves and after making Chris and Jed stop by Barnes and Noble every other day for about 2 weeks I finally got to see my project. Silver Snow looks great! I had posted it in my gallery early this year but after it was accepted into the mag they asked that I take it down until after it hits shelves. So I updated my picture in the gallery too.

I’m really happy with the picture they took and used in the bookzine. That was one big reason why I submitted to this publication. They have fantastic photography and it’s really high quality print. That’s why they call it a bookzine, it is bound like a book and has very high quality paper and pictures but they submit issues once a month. The other reason was that they are not specific to jewelry. About 90% of the photos are jewelry but they don’t rule out other forms of bead art.

I haven’t been around much lately but that just means I’ve been very very busy. And believe it or not I’ve been busy beading! I have three projects ready to be posted over the next few days. Pictures taken and everything. So stop by again soon.
