bezel

Check it out…my first bezel! I didn’t have to take a class or anything to figure it out. This will eventually be apart of the center of one of the flowers I’m currently working on. I love the new Swarovski rivoli but have not been sure how to incorporate them. And they are so bling that they don’t normally go with the style of my flowers. This individual flower is loud and bling will be just right for it. Plus I actually think the bezel calmed it down a little bit. The picture is not the best but depending on which way you look into the crystal you can see oranges, reds, golds, or pinks. It’s really very mesmerizing. I peyote stitched around the rivoli to create the bezel, not bad for someone who hasn’t done any peyote in over 5 years.

This weekend our friends Jon and Theresa are coming down to visit. We don’t get to see them very often so we’re really excited. We’ll enjoy a nice sushi dinner, drink lots of good wine, the guys will record some music, we might play so video games. Who knows what’s in store. It’s supposed to be warm and rainy but hopefully not dreary. Doesn’t matter either way we’ll have a good time.

Not sure if any one has noticed but I have added a few new links on the side bar. PicForward is our friend Jon’s photo. He has a very natural eye and I very much enjoy looking at his photos. Many of his subjects are close ups of rust or machinery which is a lot cooler than I normally would have thought. The other is Winey Thoughts, which is really just my wine journal in blog form. When I drink a new bottle I eventually post it up so that I can remember what I liked and what wasn’t worth it.
