catch up/updates

I’m back from California and busily prepping for this Sunday’s art festival in Mackinaw. I wanted to post a quick update on the happenings. First California was a lot of fun. I haven’t post any pictures yet b/c all my free time is dedicated to prepping, but I plan to next week. By then I’ll have my Holga film developed as well, (6 rolls). Miranda has posted some of her pics and is writing recaps of our adventures on her blog. We drank wine, saw beautiful coast line, took pictures, hiked in the redwoods, struck poses inside redwoods, and found out that I get motion sick on extremely curvy roads. Overall it was a fun time.
After I got home two major things have been consuming my time. First is prepping for the show. I’m feeling really good right now about what I’m getting done. I’ve completed enough wine glass charms to feel comfortable. And I’ll have completed the mini potted flowers tonight. I’m now confident in my stock of clip flowers (pics to come soon). And last night I finished the centers of two wall flowers and began the mounting process of a total of 4 wall flowers. I still have plenty left to do. I need to finish the wall flowers, which requires some sanding and drilling and painting. I need to work on another table cloth and then go thru all my flowers and tag/price them. Pack everything up to see how I’ll get all my stuff up to Mackinaw. But that’s only a fraction of the list I started with so I’m feeling good.
The other major thing I’ve spent time on is my website. Mom and I have been brainstorming some updates for the site that went live this week. Notice any changes? Some are minor, some are a little more major at least to me. We’ve added a footer at the bottom of all the pages which I love. You can see my newest pics at the Crymson Eye there as well as find links to other places you can find me. We’ve redesigned the gallery which is more major to me on the back end than people looking at it. But I love it now. She’s also made me a links blog so that I can better organize my links. We’re working on a new homepage but I need to take new pics to get that going. And pictures are toward the end of my prep list. The next few weeks should be full of blog posts of new pieces in the gallery and pictures from California.
