A Crymson Life

Java Lite

The next wall flower that is finished and added to the gallery is entitled Java Lite. It started out with an experiment in color.  I really loved how the peach and dark brown beads looked together.  I wanted the petals shaded but not in the traditional ways.  For a long while the center was going to be a reddish orange fossil bead picked up just for this flower.  Until last month when I got to go through my friend Misty’s lampwork stash.  This handmade lampwork bead made by Misty fit so perfectly I had to use it.  This piece is mounted and measures 8”x8.”

Oh wow! Breathtaking. Another new unique flower you came up with! Looks like a flower from Africa ... I don’t know why, but Africa is coming to my mind when looking at this!
