Retro

Retro is the first flower I made that I envisioned to become a wall flower.  The color pallet and design was inspired by a fabric that a fellow blogger posted a pic of.  She was inspired by the same fabric to create lampwork.  I created this flower not long after her blog post.  Since then the world of fabric has definitely opened my eyes.  Although I haven’t made any more flowers inspired by a specific fabric I can definitely see it happening.  It’s always good to have another place to find inspiration.  I think I could see myself getting caught up in quilting.  At least the combining of fun fabrics together to make crazy quilts.  I’m not sure how great I’d be at the construction part….but the idea of designing one intrigues me.
