A Crymson Life

rock quilt progress

Lately I’ve been able to spend some good chunks of time on the rock quilt.  Mostly I have to wait for the weekend b/c it’s such a big project it takes a while to set up so that I can work on it.  Right now over three quarters of the quilt is attached to the main large piece.  But that doesn’t mean all 4 sides of each square is attached.  This leads to hours of sewing that doesn’t feel like anything is getting accomplished.  I keep working on it and last weekend managed to make some visual progress.  The majority of the right half of the quilt is finished.  The lower left hand side is in two major pieces w/ lots of “extra” sides needing sewing.  And the upper left side is in small pieces barely touched.  The goal is to finish by Christmas.  Not sure if it’ll happen…but it’s the goal.
