pattern sneak peak

Here’s a sneak peak of the baby blanket so far.  I got the pattern idea from a fellow blogger who quilted a similar pattern.  In the mood for yarn I decided to crochet the same pattern using various shades of blues and greens.  I wanted it to have the colors of sea water, but it’s hard to find yarn in the right shades made from the right fibers.  Even though it’s not quite sea like it is really cool.  So far I have 13 and a half squares made.  I’ve calculated I need at least 36, to make it a square but I might go 42 squares depending on how quickly everything goes.

The Rock Quilt is still on hold.  The weather has been terribly cold and I haven’t been in the mood to venture out to find a quilt store to look for fabric.

New bead project hasn’t been started, but some major construction decisions have been and are being made.  It’s sorta exciting.

Now I am seeing! I could not really imagine how you would implement this. But it’s really, really cool. You should write out a pattern for this. smile I also admire your patience of doing all the sewing in the end ... I don’t mind sewing in ends when knitting but then there is not that much sewing involved!

BE- I’m hoping maybe I can use the ends to sew together the squares.  Not sure if it’ll work but it would be nice to get both done at once!

Yes, of course! Still lots of sewing ... wink
