A Crymson Life

Happy Halloween

I’m finally showing off my finished Monstro the pumpkin.  I showed a pic of it here, compared to the pumpkins I put in my Oktoberfest bouquet.  You can see its about double the size.  I tried to give him a scary face, but it turned into a kinda goofy, buck toothy, happy face.  It made me laugh so it stayed.  I’m really happy with all the pumpkins I’ve made this year.  I have a couple left overs laying around, they don’t have leaves yet, but if I don’t come up with anything I’m sure I’ll dig them out again next fall.
My brain is now creeping into thoughts of working with metal again, thanks to my class.  I’ve been learning a lot, mostly with tools.  It’s nice to try some at least once, it gives me an idea if I would use it right away or if I want one right away!  Right now my Christmas wish list is growing and growing.  =)  My thoughts are also going toward Christmas and not toward gifts.  I have a few things that are inspiring me toward more wintery pieces.  Finally my thoughts are going toward the bead room.  We actually plan to start working on it this weekend.  I have paint color picked out…teal.  And we’re going to go out and get a book case and another piece of furniture for it.
On a side note, this is the last call for anyone that might have been interested in learning how to make a beaded lily.  Go to the Bead Parlor for details.
and a final note… Happy Birthday Dad!
