back to it
We had a really great weekend, I was worried about all the driving involved, but it really didn’t bother me. Even the drive home in the freezing rain wasn’t too bad. Thanksgiving is over and winter is now here. We’ve seen our first snow, and we now have to scrap the car each morning. The cold hasn’t started to bother me yet, it still feels refreshing, but it hasn’t gotten into the frigid temperatures yet. The beading bug started to bite again this weekend.
The urge/want to bead hasn’t been around the last few weeks. I was busy setting up the bead room, which is done now. And then I really didn’t want to work on anything. I tired to force a project I’d been thinking about lately, but all it did was frustrate me. So I let it be, finished my book, started a new book, and I’ve been doing some baking. I’ve also spent a lot of time thinking and planning how to set myself up to do some enamaling on a very small scale. I really need to call Rio Grande and set up an account. On Saturday I picked up a couple colors and made a real fast flower and liked it a lot. Sunday night I made another one. I’m really happy with both and have actually been in the mood to add to them. I’m going to have to wait until Thursday night to do anything more, but maybe I’ll have some time this weekend between the cookies I want to bake.

I am glad that you had a wonderful feast. We saw the first snow, too. But only very, very little. I would like to have a real winter like the years before last winter again!!! Baking cookies sounds fun. I won’t bake any because we already got some from my grandma and I guess we’ll get some from my mother-in-law as well ...
