what it is
Well the weather man predicted 1-2 inches of snow during the day yesterday. We got 6-7 inches and gusty winds, which means lots of drifting. The picture is from our back door over the deck into the back yard. We went for a walk last night in the snow to the field behind the house. It was past dark when we went but b/c of all the white snow we could see just fine. Everything looked like we were in a black and white movie. The only color was from my blue puffy coat and the glow from the tape on Chris’ fireman jacket. I really wish I had brought my camera, but I don’t think I could have captured the true way it was.
Because of the snow we canceled plans with a friend and stayed in for the night. Chris and I normally to Christmas early, before we head to our families houses. The snow put us in the mood so we decided to open up gifts. I got a torch!!!! I’m so excited, it was even a propane torch better than the butane one I hinted at but never thought I’d get. Now my head is running a million miles a minute with all the things I can try and do now. I need to order more silver wire and copper sheet metal. I need to get a beginner selection of enamels too. lots to do lots to learn. And all I want to do is try it out, but I’m being good and waiting since I don’t even have safety glasses yet. I also got a few movies, and lots of socks. I think Chris enjoyed his gifts as well, the main one as an hot oil popcorn popper. It wasn’t the cool old timey themed one he wanted, that was sold out. But this one will work and we’re going to try it out today.
Today is movie day, we’ve started LOTR the Two Towers the extended edition, we’ve watched the first disk so far. Pratt is coming over in a few min for lunch. And I’m cooking a fancy roast dinner. In between all that I’m beading away. Working on a couple projects at once and loving every minute of it.
