afghan update
I’m slowly coming back to life. At least enough to show off some pics of my afghan progress. I’ve been picking this up more lately and really enjoying working on the blocks. The top pic is a finished block with the border and everything. These are really big blocks you can see a standard crochet hook next to the finished block to give scale. They are at least the size of 4 large granny squares put together.
This pic is of the second block. It’s complete but I need to finish the border. Oh I love to lay the two blocks next to each other and day dream about what an entire blanket will look like. Which then gets me to pick up the hook and crochet a few more rows.
And this is the beginnings of the third block. I’m probably about a third of the way through it. I used a skein from each of the other blocks to get this combo. So far its coming out very bright with candy like colors. I think I’ll only get two blocks out of the Silk Garden Noro, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to get three from the Kureyon Sock skeins. I was supposed to head to Chicago this weekend but w/ all the illnesses that’s been cancelled. Now I’m trying to reschedule. We decided we’d dig out the Rock Quilt and get that set up for finishing! I’m super excited about that.
