A Crymson Life

all in a day off

November is a very busy month for us. I taught my class last weekend, this weekend we’re going to UofI to tailgate and watch the Illini game. The following weekend we’re headed to St. Louis to watch the Bears play the Rams. And the weekend after that we are hosting Thanksgiving for the first time! And somewhere in between I’ve been beading some pretty exciting large bouquet pieces.
Yesterday we had off of work for Veteran’s day, but we were sure busy… We bought an electric fireplace, put it together and set up the basement. We picked up the remainder of the pears in the yard and raked up all the leaves. We organized the garage, and put away the patio furniture as well as the halloween decorations. Ran weekly errands normally done on Tuesdays. Put away summer clothes and took out our winter sweaters. Took a 2 hour nap. Experimented with a cranberry sauce recipe that was a giant success and will make on Thanksgiving, also cooked a nice pork chop dinner. Watched the OutLaw Josey Wales. And made exactly 5 beaded leaves. Phew, whatta day!
I’ve been in the mood for old movies. Tonight we plan to relax put in another movie and perhaps work on some flowers/music.

I am glad your sauce turned out great.
Where do you put your winter stuff then? My garments are always all in one cupboard but as it is a children’s room clothing cupboard, it almost bursts at the seams. I should not knit another sweater ...

Of course you should knit another sweater.  Cupboards and closets are made to stretch!!!

I hate changing clothes for the winter season! I think I should live in a warm climate!
