boot kitty
Remember this pic? Back when we’d only had Orion for about a week. He was probably 5 months old here. He was about a big as Chris’s boot, and chewed on it, laid on it, stuck his head in it. He just loved that boot.
Well I guess he was meant to be a boot kinda kitty. Because today we caught him playing the boot game again. Laying on it, chewing on it, and throwing his toy ball into the boot and then diving in after it. He’d eventually get it out only to bring it back to the boot and drop it back in. It was too funny. He’s all grown up but still a little boot kitty, just a little more handsome now.
It’s been quite the weekend. Friday we watched a bunch of episodes of Rome until we couldn’t keep our eyes open any longer. Saturday I beaded a bit in the morning and then in the afternoon headed down to the art guild. They are having a series of panels where they bring established local arts in to talk about their experiences and give advice. It was very interesting to hear what they had to say. I met with both artists and asked some questions after the talk. It was cool to see a bunch of other artists around that I’d seen their work but never put a face w/ a name. I learned a lot and have a lot to think about for my next steps. That evening we met up w/ Misty and Pratt and drove out to Mackinaw. The Mackinaw winery is closed for the winter months but are opening on Saturday evenings for trivia. It was a full house! We got there a half hour late but they let us join in anyway. It was great fun and I can’t wait to do it again. We all really suck at trivia but we actually did fairly well.
Today we were out running errands. I bought the wood and paint I need to make some frames. I just need to get cracking on that. The rest of the day I’m going to spend beading and watching the super bowl. I’m rooting for Arizona. I don’t really have a good reason except that I picked them as the underdog in the playoffs and they did really well there. Chris is going for the Steelers so it should be an interesting game.

Whim says...
He he he… Orion is just too cute!
I loved Rome but missed the last season. :-(
The art guild panel and the trivia sounds like fun.
I’m rooting for the Steelers myself. If the game is not interesting the commercials almost always are.
