Dear Holga

Dear Holga,

I hope it’s not too late to enter this win a free holga contest.  Oh well if it is, I’ll still tell you hope much I ♥ you.  I love the quaintness of the photos, something different in an age of super focused details of the dslr.  Some how the holga sees past the fine details and goes can see the heart in an instant.  When it captures those moments holga pictures are truly special.  I love playing with you and attempting to find and capture those moments.  But whats even more exciting about you is how versatile you can be.  Portraits to still life’s, to my fave…panoramas.

I LOVE creating panoramas with you.  Especially in black and white.  A skyline that is seen everyday by millions of people can suddenly be different and special.  At least that’s how I see the picture above.  It’s my fave pano I’ve gotten so far.  I’m super excited to try more.  I’m thinking some at R’s point of view, with some of his toys involved.  An every day site that could be totally new and interesting if done correctly.  I was also thinking some cloud panos could be very abstract.  If I were to win this contest I would use the new holga and convert it to use 35mm film.  I’m curious to see some panos in that film size. 

There maybe other cameras in my arsenal but know that you are by far my fave.
