A Crymson Life

finally sunlight

It rained all weekend…no exaggeration. It started Thursday and we got just over half an inch, Friday was almost 3 inches of rain, Saturday we got over 3.5 inches, then Sunday only 1 inch. That’s a lot of rain! The sun finally came out yesterday and is supposed to stick around for a while now. Although the temperatures are down, cooler than normal. It’s nice, it feels like fall!
I spent the entire weekend reading, engrossed in a series of books that I couldn’t put down. It was just the right escape from the rain, except now that I’m finished with them I’m going through slight withdrawals. I plan to fix that today and pick up some beads. I’ve done some beadwork off and on in the last couple weeks. I have one project nearly finished. Another about half way finished (to the leaf part), and a small project I need to experiment with. I’m hoping the small project will turn into a pattern for a class this fall. If all goes well I should have some pics up in a week or so.

Reading is the best thing to do on rainy days.  Wish we could have borrowed some of it.  Nine inches down for the year.

Mmmmh, reading. I read only one book before falling asleep. Apart from that I have become a fan of audio books recently ... So I can knit and bead. smile And fall is so much here already, too!
