full plate

As you know from my on the horizon posts I have a lot on my plate. In fact I might have gotten a little over ambitious but I’m taking it one day at a time and doing as much as I can while trying not to cross the line into grumpiness. So far so good. Last weekend Chris and I added another ambitious task to our list. We started refinishing our deck. It desperately needed to be restained and sealed to protect the older wood from water damage. We started power washing on Sunday not realizing what a big job it was going to be! We worked on it for half a day Sunday, a few hours Monday, several hours yesterday, and still have about a third of it left. Chris is going to work on it some more tonight. We’re hoping to get this part done so we can start staining soon. Before the horribly hot summer weather kicks in!
Tonight I’m off to Misty’s for wine, TV, and crafty stuff. I’m looking forward to sitting down and working on some wine glass charms. I’ve done a lot of starting projects for the show in July, which is now official. But I haven’t been completing anything. It’s on the list!
Last night was a computer night. We had to buy a new modem and get that all hooked up. Then I hooked up my scanner, and scanned a couple photos. I had a lot of fun playing w/ my holga in photoshop. I need to adjust some scanner settings then I should be able to do a bunch of holga scanning and then organizing of pictures on my computer.
With all the craziness of whats going on right now I haven’t had much time to think about leaving for California next week. But I’m so excited and looking forward to it! It’s going to be a blast!
