A Crymson Life

shoe clips and lilies

Recently I’ve had my first opportunity to work with a bride to provide flowers for her big day. Well the first bride since me. Chris’s cousin is getting married this October. I was was very excited and honored when she first asked me if I could make shoe clips with blue flowers for the wedding. It’s her something blue and she has a bit of a vintage theme going so a beaded flower would be potentially perfect. My next reaction was what the heck is a shoe clip?? After a quick google search I found out they were an accessory to personalize shoes. After hearing a bit more about her plans this going to be a perfect addition for her. I began brain storming away, colors, shapes, sizes, how to attach them to a clip, where to get a clip. And this is what I came up with. I love them, she loves them, I think they’ll be really perfect. I don’t have any pictures on the computer of the clip on the shoe but they look superb. I’ll make sure to get some better pics in October…maybe some action shots! tongue rolleye

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend her bridal shower. But as a gift I sent these lilies. Fuchsia and burnt orange are her theme colors and the white flower goes with the vintage feel that she has going on. The white flower is actually mostly metal seed beads, gold (colored) and sterling silver. She’s always been a huge supporter of me making flowers and putting them out for the world to see. Making these flowers for her was a lot of fun and makes me think that maybe doing weddings wouldn’t be too bad after all… gulp

These turned out great! I love the flowers too. I think I might have seen the white gold & silver flower in progress… is that the one I’m thinking of?
