A Crymson Life

some times it all starts w/ a headache

The title is a quote from Chris about 2 minutes ago…and the minute he said it a headache began. But it’s the good sort of headache, the one that comes with the sinking in of knowledge? or at least the possibility of knowledge. My boss gave my mind a good stretching for the last hour. I work in molecular/microbiological research and most of the time our experiments and reactions take place in what looks like a tiny drop of water. And it can be hard to visualize. Today I’m trying to digest the concept of what looks like how much and figuring out what that would look like if it were swimming around in a drop of water. Concentrations have always not been my strong point. I have a hard time even guessing how many beads it will take to complete a petal let alone DNA particles. It’s really great though to feel my brain working like it used to in college. I’m at the headache point, which means I have to be getting some what close to the ah-ha moment when the concept truely sinks in. But Chris is right it just takes time and usually starts w/ a headache.
