T-minus 5 hours 13 minutes

And the count down continues….

Only 5 hours and some odd minutes left of work and then vacation officially starts. Here is a generic picture of our route on a map. I don’t have any photo editing software near me now besides MS Paint..so these is the result of that! A week exactly from today we’ll be arriving in California. A week and a few hours from right now I’ll be sipping wine w/ Miranda and Chris at a winery.

The packing is coming along great. The food is all organized, clothes are all in bags. Tent is in a pile along w/ other essential camping gear. We met up w/ friends last night who just returned from a road trip in similar areas. So we got to hear their advice as to what the weather is really like, traffic, whats cool to see, etc. They even picked up brochures of thing to do and see for us. Very cool…and now I’m looking forward to Jackson WY and the Tetons even more. They look so magical in the pictures.

I did pack up some beads. I’m real inspired by greens and blues right now, which is different from the two red/rust/bronze flowers I’ve been working on. Oh well…I’m doubting I’ll have time to bead. We’ll be too busy enjoying the scenery and camping. They’re good to have though…just in case.

Tomorrow we leave really early, before dawn early. We want to get at least half way through Nebraska tomorrow. We also wanted to watch the sun come up tomorrow morning. We’re still not sure about the laptop thing…I’m going to try and bring it. So I might have a post or two up while we’re gone. The only time I know we’ll have internet access will be in California. Otherwise I’ll be back after Labor Day.
