A Crymson Life

The Lost Continent

This week hasn’t really been too eventful. After work each day, depending on weather, I would go for a walk, work on the wreath flowers, or read my book. The wreath flowers are coming along well. Next post will have another picture. Yesterday I bought a grapevine wreath which I’ll attach the flowers too. Laying the flowers on top was really exciting, so I have a feeling I’ll be spending a bunch of time on it this weekend.
I’ve also been reading the Lost Continent by Bill Bryson. I’m enjoying it, I’m not completely engrossed or sucked into it, so I have to remind myself to keep reading. I only have 50 pages left so I hope to finish it tonight or this weekend. Bryson is a witty, funny author. The book is about his travels across America stopping in small towns along the way to see historical landmarks, natural sites, or family across the country. You get a bit of history, sarcasm, and also an idea of what the areas of the country are like. Or at least how they were like when he did his travels back in the 80ies. I have quite a pile of books in my to read stash, thanks to Miranda’s recent visit home. I’m excited to see what other stories await!
