A Crymson Life

to read or to bead

It’s not all that often when we get a weekend and my biggest decision is whether or not to read my new book, or work on my new flower.  This weekend I managed to do a little of both, but in the long run reading won out.  This weekend I started and finished a Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger.  I had heard good things about the book, but so far have heard that the movie is kinda eh.  I could it see it being hard to turn the book into a good movie.  It treads a thin line between being a romance and a sci fi book.  It’s kinda both but not really one or the other.  There is enough time travel to make me scratch my head and think about how things are working out.  But the characters are developed enough that I felt for each of them and enjoyed the love story.

I also finished the beading part of my newest flower.  I started it just last weekend after the idea came to me on vacation.  I’m thinking about letting it be my donation to this year’s 8x8 at the art guild.

Reading a good book is as wonderful as being creative. I have been lazy recently, craftswise and bookwise. I almost only read some travel-related stuff ...
