A Crymson Life

tough kitty

Not much bead wise has happened around here all week.  Orion did well with his declaw surgery on Monday; he’s been recuperating all week.  The pain meds make him sleepy so he’s been a very cuddly kitty lately.  They did not remove the anal glands, the doc now thinks they are more a symptom of a different problem They did some tests and right now he’s on a special diet and a couple antibiotics.  Despite all that mumbo jumbo he’s a happy little guy.  He did start playing a little more yesterday evening so I think things are healing.  Once he’s off the pain meds (tomorrow is the last day) I think he’ll perk up a lot.
Last night Pratt came over for dinner and to catch up.  It was so fun to see her again and actually hang out and relax.  We talked a lot of girl talk, caught up on current events etc.  She looked through my unfinished flower stash which is always fun to do!  Then she was nice enough to spend a good part of the evening boosting my ego/confidence and encouraging me to start selling.  I get overwhelmed when I think about it by myself…all the things involved. After our talk though I have the feeling of invincibility or at least the feeling that I could actually do this!
This weekend is a three day weekend for me.  Saturday I’m going to drive home and see the family.  Mom and I are going to work on some display stuff for the bead room/future booth.  Hopefully we’ll accomplish something, but even if we don’t I know we’ll have fun!  I’m going to drive back on Sunday and spend the rest of the weekend with Chris and organizing the bead room.
