A Crymson Life

win or go home

And after a week of trying to decide whether or not they are a good enough team to make it to the play offs the White Sox finally got their act together and played ball.  Last night’s grand slam by Alexi and tonight’s battle were truly amazing to watch and reminded me why I like the game.  Tonight was a battle of the pitchers and Danks was impressive, pitching 8 innings and shutting them out.  Thome hit a homey.  There was a huge play at the plate w/ Griffey Jr and AJ.
And the stadium was packed full of people all wearing black…they called it a black out and it really was. It was a fun game to watch and it felt good to see our guys celebrating on the field.  Whatta year for Chicago…it’s been 102 years since the last time both the Sox and Cubs made the playoffs.

I am glad that I am unbiased. smile
So, I like the team you like. I have never understood what innings are and I have never heard of a “homey” (aaah, I guess homerun or something, not Homy Simpson) but I understand that the White Sox made a good game.

Hi BE!  Yeah I know baseball isn’t big in Europe.  We sat down w/ our visiting scientist and explained both baseball and football to him.  LOL Sometimes it’s fun to get caught up in the game.

“homey” rhymes with Thome, who is a big hitter on our team.  So “Thome hit a homey” is one of our sayings.  Yep it definitely means homerun!  cool smile
